Cheddar Broccoli Corn Bake

Get your kids to eat broccoli with this dish :P

Ingredients

  • 14 cup margarine, divided
  • 2  tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 1 12 cups skim milk
  • 1 12 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2  cups  corn flakes, crushed and divided
  • 1 (16 ounce) can corn, drained
  • 2 (10 ounce) packages  frozen broccoli spears, cooked and drained

Directions

  1. Melt 2 T margarine in large saucepan over low heat.
  2. Stir in flour and salt.
  3. Add milk graduallly, stirring until smooth.
  4. Increase heat to medium and cook until bubbly and thickened, stirring constantly.
  5. Add cheese, stirring until melted.
  6. Stir in 1/4 c corn flakes and corn and remove from heat.
  7. Arrange broccoli in 12 x 7 1/2 x 2" (2 quart) glass baking dish.
  8. Pour cheese sauce over broccoli.
  9. Melt remaining margarine in saucepan; stir in remaining cereal.
  10. Sprinkle over casserole.
  11. Bake at 350 F 30 minutes or until heated.
