Char's Favorite BHG Waffles

Ingredients
- 1 3⁄4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 3⁄4 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1⁄2 cup melted butter
- 2 egg whites
Directions
- In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder and salt. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture.
- In another bowl, beat the egg yolks, slightly; stir in the milk, butter and the vanilla.
- Add the egg mixture all at once to the flour mixture. Stir until just moistened (the batter should still be slightly lumpy).
- Whip egg whites. Fold into mixture.
- Specific to your waffle iron, pour appropriate amount of batter onto the grids of a preheated, lightly greased waffle iron . Close the lid quickly and do not open until done.
- When done remove the waffles of the iron non abrasive utensils.
- Repeat the procedure with the remaining batter.
