Castamall Pickle Dressing

This is from the Castamall Lounge in Canton, Ohio from days of old. This is delicious on salad greens as well as reduced down for a sauce on fish or poultry dishes.

• Yields: 4 cups

Ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup yellow mustard
• 2  cups  salad oil
• 1  cup vinegar
• 1  cup pickle juice, sweet, sour, your choice
• 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1  teaspoon salt
• 2  tablespoons sugar
• 1  garlic clove, crushed in a teaspoon of thyme
• 1  teaspoon caraway seed

Directions

1. Mix with mixer or wire whisk and refrigerate before serving.
