Carne De Cerdo Guisado (Browned Pork Strips)

  1. Combine tomatoes, onions, garlic, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Add pork chops and stir well.
  3. Cover and set aside for 1 hour.
  4. Remove pork from bowl and set vegetables aside.
  5. Heat oil in a large skillet until it begins to smoke.
  6. Add pork and cook over high heat 5 minutes without stirring.
  7. Stir and cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Combine water and reserved vegetables.
  9. Add slowly to pork, stirring constantly.
  10. Cover, reduce heat to low, and cook for 45 minutes.
