Carne Asada

My personal take on a carne asada

  1. Juice 1 lime and the lemon.
  2. Wash & Thinly slice remaining lime. Saving juice if possible.
  3. Thinly slice onion.
  4. Chop cilantro.
  5. Slice jalapeños.
  6. Toss all fresh ingredients togerher in glass casserole dish.
  7. Fold in cumin and garlic powder.
  8. Slowly add orange juice and tequila.
  9. Cut beef into small pieces or stripes adding to dish.
  10. Mix all ingredients until all meat is fully saturated and mixed in with the veg.
  11. Cover and let marinate in fridge 24 hours (at least).
  12. Once meat is seasoned, Cook in slow cooker or on stove in large sauce pan.
  13. Serve on tortillas or a bed of seasoned rice.
  14. Optional add a splash of soy sauce or salt if desired to marinade when mixing.
