Caramelized Pineapple

Ingredients
- 4 slices pineapple
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup or 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons rum
- 1⁄4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions
- Preheat broiler. Line broiler pan with foil; arrange pineapple in pan.
- Mix syrup, rum and pepper; brush half of the mixture over pineapple.
- Broil 4 inches from heat until glaze is caramelized, about 4 minutes.
- Turn pineapple and brush with remaining glaze. Broil until caramelized.
