Caramel Ice Cream Delight

I just discovered this recipe on Yahoo. Original source unknown. Sounds positively yummy. Prep time is approximate and does not include freezing.

• Serves: 12-15

Ingredients

• 1 1⁄2 cups flour
• 1  cup oatmeal
• 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
• 1 1⁄2 cups  chopped pecans
• 1  cup  melted butter
• 6  ounces  caramel topping
• 1⁄2 gallon vanilla ice cream

Directions

1. Combine first 4 ingredients.
2. Stir in butter.
3. Spread mix in thin layer on cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until browned.
4. Cool and crumble.
5. Spread 1/2 of crumbs in a 13 x 9 inch dish.
6. Spoon caramel over the crumbs.
7. Slice softened ice cream over topping and top with remaining crumbs.
8. Cover and freeze until firm.
