Caramel Bread Pudding

Ingredients
- 3⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 slices bread, heavily buttered
- 1 1⁄2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Pack sugar in a buttered casserole. Cut bread in small pieces, and place buttered side down on sugar.
- Mix egg, milk and vanilla and pour over mixture.
- Put in 350F oven and bake til nicely browned.
- Serve with or without cream.
