- Combine and cook sugar, water, salt, and cinnamon to 'soft ball' stage without stirring.
- Remove from heat, add vanilla and pecan-halves.
- Stir gently until the nuts are well coated and the mixture becomes creamy.
- Turn out on wax paper.
- Separate the nuts as they cool.
- Enjoy!
