Fudgy Butterscotch Brownies

Similar to traditional brownies but with a nice butterscotch flavor

• Ready In: 40 mins
• Yields: 1 nine x thirteen inch pan

Ingredients

• 6  tablespoons shortening
• 1 1⁄2 cups brown sugar
• 2  eggs
• 1 1⁄2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1  teaspoon vanilla
• 1 1⁄2 cups flour
• 1⁄2 cup  chopped  nuts
• 1  cup  butterscotch chips

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
2. Cream shortening and sugar, add the rest in given order.
3. Grease a 9" x 13" baking pan.
4. Pour batter into pan, and bake 25 minutes.
5. Cool for 10 minutes and then cut into squares.
