Yields: 2 cups
Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 3⁄4 cup buttermilk
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
Directions
- Place first five ingredients in large saucepan.
- bring to boil and cook for 7 minutes (mixture will foam), stirring to prevent scorching.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Serve with German pancakes,or waffles,french toast,etc.
