Buttermilk Lemon Pie

Ingredients
- 1 (9 inch) pie crusts
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1⁄4 cup butter (melted)
- 1⁄3 cup lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon peel (grated)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg
Directions
- .Line a 9 in pie plate with crust.
- Trim, seal and flute edges.
- In a large bowl, combine sugar, flour,and salt.
- In another large bowl beat buttermilk,eggs,butter,lemon juice,lemon peel and vanilla.
- Add to dry mixture, mix well.
- Pour into pie crust.
- Sprinkle with nutmeg.
- Bake at 400 for 10 minutes.
- Reduce tempeture to 325 and bake 40 -45 minutes longer or until knife inserted in center comes clean.
- Cool and refridgerate.
