Buttermilk Candy Glaze

Yields: 2 cups
Ingredients
- 1⁄4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in saucepan, mix well.
- Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
- Cook to 236* on candy thermometer.
- Do not stir.
- Pour over cake.
