Butter Pound Cake

Recipe from Joann Ladd, received in a recipe swap. A sinful pound cake that is simple to make! Similar ones are posted, but none just like it.

• Yields: 1 pound cake

Ingredients

• 3  cups sugar
• 2  cups butter (room temperature)
• 8  eggs
• 3  cups all-purpose flour
• 1  teaspoon vanilla flavoring
• 1  teaspoon  lemon flavoring
• 1  dash salt

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
2. Grease and flour pan.
3. In a large bowl, beat sugar, butter, eggs, flour, and flavors until all ingredients have whipped cream consistency.
4. Pour into pan.
5. Bake for 60 minutes or until done.
6. Let cake cool, then add icing of your choice.
