Butter Brickle Decadence Bars

We served these bars at a wine and food pairing at the wine shop where I work. (We paired them up with an Australian tawny port!)

Ingredients

• CRUST

• 1 1⁄2 cups flour
• 1⁄2 cup butter
• 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt

• TOPPING

• 6  ounces  butterscotch chips
• 2  tablespoons butter
• 1⁄4 cup dark corn syrup
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1  cup  chopped walnuts or 1  cup pecans

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Mix crust inredients till crumbly, press into 9x13 inch pan. Bake for 10 minutes.
3. Melt topping ingredients except nuts in a saucepan. When smooth add nuts. Bake 10 minutes at 375°F.
