Yields: 1 cup

Ingredients

  • 12 lb butter, to room temperature (2 sticks)
  • 2  large shallots, peeled and finely minced
  • 3  garlic cloves, peeled and finely minced
  • 14 cup fresh parsley, chopped (NOT dried)
  • 1  loaf  French bread, cut lengthwise (as a suggestion for serving)

Directions

  1. Suggestion: I used a good quality whole wheat sourdough French bread.
  2. Preheat oven to BROIL.
  3. In bowl mix all ingredients together except for the French bread.
  4. Spread bread generously with the butter mixture.
  5. BROIL until golden brown and bubbly for approximately 2-3 minutes. **Watch oven carefully**!
  6. Slice bread and serve hot.
  7. Yield is estimated.
