Budget Beef Burgundy

This is so simple and yet tastes so good. This recipe came from the Food Editor of the St Petersburg Times back in 1985. Enjoy!!!! Show more

Serves: 4-6

Ingredients

  • 2  lbs beef, cubed
  • 1  can  condensed golden mushroom soup
  • 1  package  dry onion soup mix
  • 1  cup red wine (Burgundy preferred, of course)
  •  mushrooms or  onions or  garlic (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Place all ingredients in baking dish and stir well.
  3. Bake for 2 hrs.
  4. Uncover the last 1/2 hr so the liquid will cook down.
  5. Serve over noodles.
