Brussels Sprouts with Walnuts

This is a great way to serve Brussels Sprouts. Even us non-sprout-likers will rave about this one! It's quick and easy to prepare, and you can halve all ingredients without problems. Show more

  1. Bring a medium pot of salted water to a boil and add the Sprouts.
  2. COok until crisp-tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt 6 tablespoons of the butter over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the shallots/ onions and garlic, and cook for one minute.
  5. Add the sprouts in one layer and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  6. Remove from pan.
  7. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and when melted, add the walnuts and cook, stirring, until golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  8. Add the lemon juice, salt, pepper and sprouts, and stir well to coat and heat through.
  9. Transfer to a warm serving bowl and sprinkle with the Parmesan.
  10. Serve immediately.
