Brownie Pudding

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3⁄4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 3⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄4 cup cocoa
- 1 3⁄4 cups boiling water
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a medium mixing bowl, stir together the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, 2 T. cocoa, baking powder, and salt). Add the milk, oil, and vanilla and mix until smooth. Stir in the walnuts, if desired. Transfer the batter to a 9x9 baking pan (or roughly equivalent sized pan).
- Combine the brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa. Stir in the boiling water. Pour evenly over the batter. Bake about 30 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted near the center of the cake comes out clean. Serve warm.
