Brown Sugar Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 quart fresh cranberries or 1 quart frozen cranberries, picked through
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1 lb dark brown sugar
Directions
- Bring cranberries and water to a boil.
- Simmer, uncovered, for 35 to 40 minutes until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
- Stir in the brown sugar until dissolved then remove from heat and cool.
