Broiled Irish Sirloin

Yields: 5 steaks

Ingredients

  • Meat

  • 5 (8 ounce)  thick-cut  sirloin steaks
  • 12 cup  fat-free margarine, melted
  •  pepper, to taste
  •  sea salt, to taste
  • Marinade

  • 2  cups  Guinness stout
  • 2  cups  Coca-Cola
  • 14 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2  tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 2  tablespoons onions, minced
  • 2  tablespoons pepper
  • 2  tablespoons sea salt

Directions

  1. Mix marinade ingredients in a large bowl with a secure lid.
  2. Using the tines of a fork, pierce the steaks on both sides several times.
  3. Drown steak in marinade, cover tightly, and chill overnight.
  4. Set the oven to broil, and line a large baking pan with foil.
  5. Remove the steak from the marinade, and set it aside.
  6. Place steaks in pan, and brush with half of margarine. Broil 6 inches from the heat source for 8 minutes.
  7. Turn steaks, and brush with remaining margarine. Broil additional 5 minutes.
  8. Brush steaks with remaining marinade; broil 2 minutes and remove from oven.
  9. Season steaks to taste with pepper and sea salt.
