Brenda's Mom's Granola

Yields: 12 cups
Ingredients
- 6 cups old-fashioned oatmeal
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 1⁄2 cup sesame seeds
- 1 cup salted peanuts
- 1 1⁄2 cups coconut flakes
- 1⁄2 cup ground flax seeds
- 3⁄4 cup canola oil
- 1 1⁄2 cups honey
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
- cinnamon
Directions
- Mix all the ingredients except the cinnamon.
- Place on a greased cookie sheet.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon to taste before baking.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 40 minutes, stirring half way through.
- Try not to over bake as the granola will get hard.
- As soon as it is out of the oven, scrape the granola into a pile on the sheet to cool (this aids in cleanup later).
- When almost completely cool (but not all the way cool), scrap off the sheet and store in an air tight container.
