Bread Pudding

A fantastic blend of vanilla and bread which creates a truly unique and palate-pleasing desert. Very traditional. Show more

Ingredients

  • 2  cups milk
  • 1  tablespoon butter
  • 1  cup  breadcrumbs or 1  cup  bread, cubes
  • 1  egg
  • 14 cup sugar
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon vanilla
  •  raisins (optional)

Directions

  1. Scald milk on very low fat.
  2. Add butter.
  3. Add bread crumbs to milk mixture& set aside 5 minutes.
  4. Beat eggs until slightly mixed, add sugar, salt, and vanilla.
  5. Add egg mixture to milk mixture.
  6. Pour into baking dish and bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until firm.
