Brayden's Soup for Babies

Most babies love Squash and Sweet Potatoes, so this is an instant hit. For babies over 6 months. *NEW*Apparently a reviewer didn't know to use prepared infant formula instead of just powder. I have adjusted the recipe to state "prepared". Plese ignore their comments and use infant formula prepared as you would give in a bottle. Show more

Serves: 4-6

Ingredients

  • 1 (4 1/2ounce) jar  squash baby food
  • 1 (4 1/2ounce) jar sweet potato baby food
  • 14 cup  chicken stock or 14 cup  vegetable stock
  • 1  teaspoon brown sugar
  • 12 cup  prepared  infant formula

Directions

  1. Pour squash and sweet potato into small saucepan.
  2. Heat on medium low for 2 minutes.
  3. Add hot chicken or vegetable stock, mix thoroughly.
  4. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add brown sugar, then stir in baby formula.
  6. Reduce heat and cook for five minutes.
  7. Pour into small mason jar or clean baby food jars and refrigerate.
  8. Only pour out single servings and warm in microwave for about 20 seconds.
  9. Can be refrigerated up to 3 days.
