Bran Muffins

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-bran cereal
- 1⁄2 cup boiling water (mix in All Bran Cereal and set aside)
- 1⁄2 cup white sugar
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 3⁄4 cup fresh applesauce
- 2 1⁄2 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 1⁄2 teaspoons baking soda
- 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups all-bran cereal
- 2 eggs
- 1 pint buttermilk
- 1 cup raisins (or more)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (to taste)
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg (to taste)
- 1⁄4 cup flax seed
Directions
- Boil water and pour over 1 cup All Bran Cereal - set aside.
- Cream applesauce, sugar, eggs
- Add dry ingredients.
- Add buttermilk.
- Mix.
- Add Raisins.
