Braised Leeks
Directions
- Trim leeks to white and light green parts only, then cut in half lengthwise.
- Separate the layers and rinse.
- Melt butter in large skellet over medium heat.
- Add leeks and water, season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover, simmering about 14 to 16 minutes or until leeks are very tender.
- It may be necessary to add more water.
