Boog Powell's Memphis Rubdown

John Wesley "Boog" Powell was an all-star first baseman and American league MVP for the Baltimore Orioles. He now has a BBQ joint right outside Camden Yards, where the Orioles play. I use the rub on just about anything I BBQ. It’s especially good on ribs and smoked butt. I like to put it on a day in advance, if I can.

Ingredients

• 1  tablespoon garlic powder
• 1  tablespoon onion powder
• 1  tablespoon white pepper
• 1  tablespoon black pepper
• 1  tablespoon chili powder
• 1  tablespoon  ground red pepper
• 1  tablespoon cumin
• 2  tablespoons paprika

Directions

1. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and mix well.
2. Apply liberally to meat of your choice.
