Blueberry Bars

Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh blueberries
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 1⁄3 cup water
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- baking powder
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 cups quick-cooking oats
Directions
- In a large saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, water, corn starch and salt. Cook over medium heat until thickened, about 10 minutes. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Cut in butter with a pastry cutter or two knives. Stir in brown sugar and oats. Press half into 13 x 9 inch baking dish that has been greased. Pour blueberry mixture on top; top with remaining flour mixture.
- Bake at 350* for 45 minutes, until top is slightly browned. Let cool and cut into bars.
