Black Forest Mousse Dessert

This recipe came to from Kraft Canada - it sounds so delicious, and it is surely on my to-do list!!

Ingredients

  • 1 (113 g) package  JELL-O Chocolate Instant Pudding
  • 1 12 cups  cold milk
  • 2  cups Cool Whip Topping, thawed, divided
  • 16  Oreo cookies, coarsely crushed, divided (about 1 1/2 cups)
  • 1 12 cups cherry pie filling

Directions

  1. Beat pudding mix and milk in medium bowl with whisk for 2 minutes. Stir in 1 1/2 cups Cool Whip.
  2. Reserve 1/2 cup cookie crumbs; stir remaining crumbs into pudding mixture. Spoon half into 1 1/2 L serving bowl; top with layers of 3/4 cup of the remaining Cool Whip and 1 cup pie filling.
  3. Cover with layers of remaining pudding mixture, Cool Whip, pie filling, and reserved cookie crumbs.
  4. SPECIAL EXTRA: Garnish with toasted sliced almonds just before serving.
