Black Bean Soup

This recipe is my own creation. I was looking for something hearty and that my kids would eat. They don't like dry beans - so I was skeptical at first. They loved it and the first time I made this - there wasn't any left! We had this with homemade breadsticks for a filling meal. This recipe freezes well. I have also taken it to potlucks.   1. Combine all ingredients. Let simmer for a couple hours so flavors will blend.
  2. Enjoy with your favorite bread.
