- Poof yeast in lukewarm water.
- Add milk, sugar, salt, egg, oil and flour.
- Beat well to make a smooth dough; make sure milk is only warm.
- Let rise until doubled.
- Cut with doughnut cutter.
- Fill with prune or apricot filling.
- Let set a few minutes.
- Fry in deep fat until nice and brown.
