Betty's Ice Cream

This is a no-cook ice cream recipe that we have made many times. I got the recipe from a co-worker at Broadway National Bank in San Antonio around 1968, and my recipe card is practically worn out. It makes about 2 quarts in a standard electric ice cream freezer. You may need to adapt the quantities for a counter-top ice cream maker. It's absolutely delicious and very refreshing on a hot summer day. Be sure to strain the juices to remove any seeds and be sure to use ripe bananas that will mash easily. We like to serve it with sugar cookies. Show more
