Beth's Shepherd's Pie

This is a basic recipe, nothing fancy but kids love it, I do to. No gravy or sauces in this one. I use fresh mashed potatoes (approx. 8-10 potatoes) in mine but for ease I put instant mashed potatoes in the recipe. The seasoning is to your taste, but be careful, the cheese adds a great deal of salt. The recipe is very versatile, however, every time I substitute the peas for something else my children fuss, the peas have a great texture and just the right amount of sweet. Show more
