Ingredients

  • 2  unsweetened chocolate squares
  • 12 cup butter
  • 2  eggs
  • 1  cup sugar
  • 1  teaspoon vanilla
  • 12 cup flour
  • 18 teaspoon salt
  • 34 cup  chopped  nuts or 34 cup coconut

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Melt the chocolate and butter in a small saucepan over low heat; cool to lukewarm.
  3. Beat the eggs in a a small bowl with an electric mixer at high speed. Gradually beat in the sugar until the mixture is fluffy and thick. Stir in the chocolate mixture and the butter.
  4. Fold in the flour and salt until well blended; stir in the coconut/nuts. Spread in a greased 8x8x2" baking pan.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Cool in the pan on a wire rack.
