Berry Sauce

Yields: 3 cups
Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 star anise
- 500 g blackberries
Directions
- Combine sugar, juice and star anise in a saucepan.
- Stir over low heat till sugar dissolves.
- Increase heat, bring to the boil, cook for 7 minutes.
- Remove from heat, add berries, gently stir. cool.
- Serve over ice cream.
