Beer Batter

This is a light batter. It makes great onion rings. I'm not sure where the recipe came from, but I remember having the onion rings growing up.

• Yields: 2 Onions

Ingredients

• 1 1⁄2 cups flour
• 1 1⁄2 cups cornstarch
• 2  teaspoons  oil
• 1⁄4 cup baking powder
• 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
• 1 (12 ounce) can beer or 1 (12 ounce) can water
•  Worcestershire sauce (add until batter turns brown)

Directions

1. Mix ingredients well. Slice onions, dip in batter and fry.
