Beef & Biscuit Casserole

An old fashioned favorite I found in a 1972 Parade magazine.....real comfort food.

Directions

  1. Brown ground beef, onions, garlic & peppers; drain.
  2. Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder, salt & pepper.
  3. Simmer while preparing dough.
  4. Separate biscuits and pull apart into 2 layers.
  5. Press 10 biscuits into bottom of 8" or 9" square pan.
  6. Combine 1/2 cup of cheese, sour cream & egg and mix well.
  7. Stir in ground beef and spoon over biscuits.
  8. Place remaining biscuits on top and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  9. Bake @ 250F for 25 to 30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
