Bayou Turkey Burger

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 2 scallions, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, stemmed, seeded, and finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic, finely minced
- 2 tablespoons cilantro, fresh and chopped
- 1⁄4 teaspoon thyme, dried
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1⁄2 teaspoon paprika
- crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
- salt
- pepper
- 4 hamburger buns, toasted
Directions
- Prepare a barbecue grill or preheat the broiler.
- Place the turkey in a bowl and mix it well with the scallions, bell pepper, garlic, cilantro, thyme, cumin, paprika, and red pepper flakes.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Gently form the mixture into 4 patties.
- Grill or broil the burgers until cooked through - 5 -6 minutes per side.
- Serve immediately on the toasted buns.
