Basil-Caper Butter

Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons basil, fresh, chopped
- 2 teaspoons capers, drained, chopped
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice, fresh
- salt & freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Directions
- Mix it all and let it sit a bit to mellow.
- If you're making it ahead, roll it up in plastic wrap so you end up with a nice log of compound butter.
- This freezes beautifully.
