Basic Roast Chicken

Ingredients
- 1 whole frying chicken, rinsed and patted dry
- salt and pepper
- 2 cups water
Directions
- Place chicken on rack in roasting pan.
- Salt and pepper the inside and the outside of the chicken.
- Add water to the pan.
- Roast at 375*, uncovered, for 1 to 1-1/2 hours,until chicken tests done.
- Baste inside and out every 15 minutes.
