Directions

  1. Put the lentils in a large slow cooker and add the water.
  2. Stick the cloves in the onion and add it to the lentils with the bay leaf.
  3. Cover and cook on HIGH for 4-5 hours, or until the lentils are tender.
  4. Add salt to taste.
  5. Let stand for 10 minutes.
  6. Discard the onion and bay leaf.
  7. Drain the lentils and serve hot.
