Barbecue Marinated Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

I make this for bbqs and guest gobble them up before I can get to one..lol.. try them and I know you wont be disappointed. Prep time includes marinating. Show more

Serves: 8

Ingredients

  • 14 cup lemon juice
  • 2  tablespoons  bottled  teriyaki marinade
  • 12 teaspoon white pepper
  • 12 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 1  package  frozen peeled deveined medium shrimp, thawed (I like to use fresh shrimp too that is delicious)
  • 1  package  maple flavored bacon

Directions

  1. In small bowl stir together lemon juice, teriyaki marinade, white pepper, cayenne pepper, and salt.
  2. Place shrimp in plastic bag set in shallow pan.
  3. Pour lemon juice mixture over shrimp.
  4. Seal bag and marinate in refrigerator for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat grill.
  6. Cut bacon slices into thirds.
  7. In a skillet cook bacon, 1/4 at a time.
  8. Just 3 to 5 min.
  9. or until bacon starts to brown on edges, turning once.
  10. Drain on paper towels.
  11. Drain shrimp.
  12. Discard marinade.
  13. Wrap each shrimp with a piece of bacon.
  14. Thread bacon-wrapped shrimp on 8 small metal skewers.
  15. Grill on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium hot coals for 8-10min.
  16. or until shrimp turns opaque, turning once.
