Barbecue in the Burgers

Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 bunch scallion, chopped
- 1 lemon, zest of
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 -3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 3 -4 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons kosher salt
Directions
- Add all ingredients, except salt, to a large bowl.
- Combine ingredients by lightly folding with fingers.
- Shape into 6-8 patties, sprinkle both sides with salt and grill or pan fry until juices run clear when pierced with a fork.
