Ready In: 22 mins
Serves: 6-8
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 1⁄4 cups ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 1 tablespoon dried onion flakes (or half of a small onion minced)
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley (optional)
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 1⁄4-1⁄2 cup brown sugar (optional)
- 1 teaspoon your favorite hot sauce
- Tabasco sauce
Directions
- 1. Brown Hamburger, drain fat.
- 2. Stir in remaining ingredients breaking up hamburger into tiny pieces as you mix.
- 3. Simmer on medium until a thick sauce forms (about 15-20 minutes).
- 4. While sauce simmers, slice your buns and toast face-up on a cookie sheet, in a 250 degree oven for about 7 minutes or until crisp on the outside. (These are particularily tasty when served on on Onion Buns or Dutch Crunch rolls).
- 5. Add about 2 heaping TB to each bun.
