Bar-B-Que Meatballs

A friend of ours made these for us and my husband went wild. I have since made these for family gatherings and everyone always requests the recipe. My grandmother even requested the recipe to make for her church group, which was a big compliment for me. I like to serve them with garlic mashed potatoes and a salad.

Ingredients

• MEATBALLS

• 3  lbs ground beef
• 1  can evaporated milk
• 2  cups rolled oats
• 2  eggs
• 1  cup  minced onion
• 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
• 2  teaspoons salt
• 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
• 2  teaspoons chili powder

• SAUCE

• 3  cups ketchup
• 1 1⁄2 cups brown sugar
• 2  tablespoons liquid smoke
• 1  cup  minced onion
• 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions

1. Mix together meatball ingredients.
2. Shape into tennis ball sized balls.
3. Put into large greased casserole dish.
4. Mix together sauce ingredients and pour over meatballs.
5. Bake uncovered at 350° for 1 hour.
