Bananas Foster Raspberry French Toast

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 2  eggs
  • 1  teaspoon vanilla
  • 1  teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 14 cup milk
  • 2  tablespoons sugar (white)
  • 8  pieces  bread, of your choice (We used country white bread)
  • 4  eggs
  • 4  tablespoons butter
  • 1  cup brown sugar
  • 4  ripe bananas, roughly broken into 1 to 2 inch pieces
  • 6  tablespoons  raspberry jam

Directions

  1. Mix first 5 ingredients together in a shallow bowl, set aside.
  2. In another shallow bowl, put 4 eggs, beat well.
  3. In a skillet, warm 2 tbspn butter at medium heat.
  4. Dip 1 piece of bread in eggs-only bowl, coat lightly, then dip in multi-ingredients bowl, coat well, then put piece of bread in skillet.
  5. Done when both sides are golden brown.
  6. Set aside.
  7. Repeat with all pieces of bread.
  8. In separate skillet, heat 2 tbspn butter at medium-high heat.
  9. Once all butter is melted, add bananas and brown sugar.
  10. Cook and stir for approximately 3 min., or until sugar and butter have formed into a golden-brown syrupy sauce.
  11. To serve, put 2 pieces of French toast on plate, pour 1/4 bananas foster over French toast and add 1 ½ tablespoon of raspberry jam.
