Banana Muffins

I like scrounging around used bookstores for old or odd cookbooks. One I found was an old fundraiser put together by a group back in the days when typewriters ruled. This is one of my family's favourites. :)

• Serves: 12

Ingredients

• 1  cup white sugar
• 1⁄2 cup butter
• 1  egg
• 2  large bananas, mashed
• 1 1⁄2 cups flour
• 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1  teaspoon cinnamon
• 1  teaspoon baking soda
• 1  teaspoon salt
• 1  teaspoon vanilla

Directions

1. Cream butter and add sugar. When well blended, beat in egg, mashed bananas and vanilla. Blend together dry ingredients and mix inches Fill baking cups about 3/4 full and bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
