Banana Bread - Half the Fat & Sugar, No Nuts

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup Splenda granular
- 1⁄4 cup shortening
- 1⁄4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 3 bananas
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 dash salt
- 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar (optional)
Directions
- Cream together the sugar, splenda, shortening & applesauce. Mix in the eggs & bananas. Sift the flour, salt & soda together & add to mixture. Pour into a prepared bread pan. Sprinkle the top with turbinado sugar.
- Bake 1 hour at 340.
