Banana Bread

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup margarine, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup mashed ripe banana (3 medium)
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions
- Cream butter and sugar together.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating until smooth.
- Blend in mashed bananas.
- In a second bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and nuts.
- Add to banana mixture stirring only to moisten!
- Transfer to a greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
- Bake at 350 for approximately 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in centre of loaf comes out clean.
