Banana Bars

Ingredients
- 1 1⁄4 cups sugar
- 1⁄2 cup margarine, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3 large ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups flour
Icing
- 1⁄4 cup margarine
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 3 tablespoons sour cream
Directions
- Cream together sugar and shortening. Add eggs and sour cream. Mix well. Add bananas and vanilla. Stir together salt, soda and flour. Add to banana mixture. Mix well. Spread dough on greased and floured jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
- To prepare icing, melt margarine over low heat until light brown and bubbly. Remove from heat and add confectioner's sugar and sour cream. Beat with mixer until creamy.
